An EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number is mandatory for economic operators involved in foreign trade when importing goods, carrying out transit, export or other customs procedures. When registering in a member state for customs-related purposes, economic operators receive an EORI number which is valid in the entire European Union.
